Definition: Diastolic blood pressure (DBP) is a measurement of the force applied to your artery walls when your heart relaxes. It is usually measured in millimeters of mercury (mmHg).
Also Known As: DBP
Examples: If your blood pressure is 120/70, then your diastolic BP is 70 mmHg.
